Anti-War

I am involved in anti-war activities in Mount Airy, North Carolina. Some photos below.

Quilting

I also enjoy quilting and sometimes do political statement quilts. This is a picture of my award-winning poverty/hunger quilt.

There but for the Grace of God: this quilt addresses worldwide hunger. The foreground (color) images are more recent. The background (gray) images are from photos following WW II and the depression. The white "patches" along the margins have information about hunger and text from spiritual leaders exhorting compassion for those in need.
